Meet GDYF Junior Board Promotions Katie Pitchford

Our Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation Junior Board Promotion chair is Katie Pitchford of Clermont, Georgia. Katie is currently a freshman at the University of Georgia and continues to exhibit registered jerseys in the Southeast. Over the

past four years, Katie has been active in her FFA chapter, serving as an officer for three years and participating in livestock showing. Georgia Dairy Youth activities have been a favorite for Katie and have allowed her to meet many new dairy friends across the state. Motivated by her own passion for the dairy industry, Katie joined the GDYF Junior Board in the hopes of finding new ways to engage the younger generation in the dairy industry. As a board member she hopes to help encourage younger generations to expand their knowledge of the dairy industry.
