Meet Jennifer Brinton, Events Coordinator of the 2018 Georgia Dairy Foundation Junior Board

Our Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation Junior Board events planner is Jennifer Brinton of Newnan, Georgia. Jennifer, a tenth grader, has exhibited commercial dairy heifers for six years. She is a tough competitor in the show ring, bringing home wins in showmanship and in the dairy heifer weight class. Showing dairy heifers has taught Jennifer a lot about determination, teamwork and sportsmanship.

Over the past couple of years, Jennifer has competed in the 4-H Project Achievement. This year she placed first, mastering in Project Achievement in the Dairy and Milk Science category at 4-H State Congress. It takes dedication to make it to the state level - and winning is icing on the cake! Jennifer is also active with Coweta County 4-H. She has been a part of the Dairy Judging Team and their team has placed in competition for the past several years.

Jennifer doesn’t shy away from sharing, she is quick to set up displays and talk about her passion for the dairy industry. She took a major part in the Southeast Dairy retreat this year planning and coordinating games to help make the retreat a success.

Motivated by this same passion, Jennifer joined the GDYF Junior Board in the hopes of finding new ways to engage the younger generation in the dairy industry. As a board member she hopes to help encourage younger generations to expand their knowledge of the dairy industry.
