 GDYF Junior Board members assist at the Georgia Dairy Conference each January in Savannah, Georgia. The conference gives a chance for dairy producers and industry leaders to hear from top educators, fellow dairymen and vendors. Junior Board members give back by helping with registration, set up, the silent and live auction as well as whatever needs to be done to make the conference a success. Youth are greatly exposed to the Georgia dairy world through interactions with dairymen, industry leaders and companies.

The Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation's main fundraisers are annual silent and live auctions. More than 30 individuals and companies donate smaller items for a silent auction held between check in and the awards luncheon. Items can range from artwork to semen to cheese, with coolers as an annual favorite. An exciting live auction is held during the luncheon where an auctioneer directs high speed bidding between producers and industry affiliates. Generous donors provide items such as tons of feed or quail hunts in an effort to support the Georgia Dairy Youth.
