2023 State Dairy Quiz Bowl
Georgia 4-H Dairy Quiz Bowl was held Monday, May 15th at the University of Georgia. Burke County’s team won the Junior competition, while Coweta County came away with the Senior win. Justice Benjamin, Aurora Cadman, Gillian Ramponi, and Josie Roberson became Georgia's newest Master 4-Hers. Coweta earned a top spot at the national competition in Louisville, Kentucky, where more than 25 teams typically compete each November. Congratulations to both counties and to all those who participated!
Dairy quiz bowl is a jeopardy style competition where students compete in teams of three to five answering dairy-related questions. Questions are called out, and each team member has the opportunity to buzz in, answer the question and, if correct, earn points for their teams. Topics range from nutrition to animal health to milk marketing, and teams get together throughout the week for group practices.
