Meet Maelynn Ruff, Social Media Leader for the 2018 Junior Board

Maelynn Ruff is a self-driven junior at Elbert County High School. She is an active member of our Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation, FFA and JROTC Raiders/Blue Sword. When Maelynn sets her mind to a task she shows discipline and drive. She has shown dairy cows for over seven years. She enjoys the challenge of showing dairy heifers and the time she spends with cows from her family’s farm. She decided to join the Junior Board to promote dairy youth activities outside the show ring and to help other showmen discover their passion for agriculture and the livestock industry.

Maelynn also values the many friendships and connections she has built within FFA, JROTC and dairy showing. She currently serves as the social media chair for GDYF.

Following graduation next year, she would like to attend the University of Georgia or the University of North Georgia and pursue a degree as a vet. GDYF believes she will be successful as a vet due to her gentle and caring nature for animals.
