Meet GDYF' 2021 Junior Board Officer: Ashlyn Reddick
Hey everyone! My name is Ashlyn Reddick. I am 16 years old and attend Burke County High School. During show season, you can find me in the ring with my dairy heifers, goats, sheep, and pigs. I have shown dairy heifers for seven years, goats for eight, sheep for five, and this past year I started showing pigs.
Some of my best memories have been made in the show barn. I have met my absolute best friends there and I believe that the livestock industry is the best to be involved in for a strong and successful future. If you have the chance to get involved, I encourage you to jump right in!
This is my second year serving on the Georgia Dairy Youth Foundation Junior Board. I had the best time serving last year and have enjoyed getting to know all of you and leaders within the industry. My favorite thing we hosted last year was our annual golf tournament. It was encouraging to see everyone come together to support our amazing foundation during the pandemic.
I also enjoyed helping Georgia Milk Producers host the Georgia Dairy Conference in Savannah, Georgia. It was amazing to meet dairy farmers from across Georgia and sharing my experiences showing and volunteering in the dairy industry.
I look forward to serving you all again! If you ever need help with anything, please do not hesitate to ask me. Our junior board is here to help you!
